Of course for those of us who can actually spell that would be colourised.

I can never remember whether the z or s variant is British.

P.S. In this case however Leo (my favourite English-German dictionary) says:

to colorize (AE)
to colourise (BE) also: colourize (BE)

I'm bumping this discussion just to say that, while I second the request, I've seen a profile with "In color" in the Edition field ('Bewitched' TV series, that was released both in the original B/W version and in a colorized version) and another profile with "Black and white" in Other Features.

Since Ted Turner is the one who invented that, it would have to be 'colorized.'

In Ted's case, I could accept that he was responsible for inventing "Paint by Numbers", hard to believe that he could invent anything more sophisticated than that. He may have funded the "colourising" of some films however.

And what would Schindler's List be classified as?

I would tag it as Color + B&W + Mixed

Ted Turner may or may not have invented the process, but one thing is sure: he did NOT invent the language...
