Let me get this straightt: Let's take for example Star Trek: The Next Generation. Now people want a season to be a boxset, and each of the discs an individual profile???

No offence, but it seems to me people are slowly, but steadily, going crazy around here. That is probably the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard (well, at least in a post not by Skip, that is...)
The future is here. It's just not widely distributed yet. (William Gibson)

well not exactly... it isn't that now we want it... a lot of us has wanted it since the boxset capability was first introduced... and there has already been child profiles for TV Series in the database every since then too. but in the case of TV Series there has been a compromise that the parent profile will not be stripped of data for those of you that don't want it to be a boxset.

In another thread (And quoted on the first post of this thread) Ken sees no problem with this compromise... so it is now an official compromise. Now this poll is set up to see how we should handle the boxset field of the parent profile. If we allow the boxset field of the parent profile to be filled in... it will not show in the field if you do not download the child profiles... but it will let those of us that has the parent (And want the child Profiles) know when the child profiles are available.

So it hurts no one if they are there... and it helps us that want it to know when they are added... As soon as we see it up for vote we will know that they are available. which is why I chose to vote yes to have the boxset field filled in on the parent profile.

Thanks, Great explanation of how we would like it to work.
