Thus neither should be check. It's not a trailer. I don't disagree except that all the trailers (and there are a number of bonus trailers) are menu selectable, including the TS 1&2. So Bonus gets checked regardless. But i'm moving more strongly to the no Feature trailer camp. | | | Bad movie? You're soaking in it! |

| Posted: | | | | I don't see anything in the latest rules about them being menu selectable or not. I fail to see what that has to do with anything.
I still say they're not trailers and I wouldn't mark them as such. But I don't have the disc, so that's just my opinion based on what I've read. | | | Get the CSVExport and Database Query plug-ins here. Create fake parent profiles to organize your collection. |

Had it been a trailer for Toy Story followed by a separate trailer for Toy Story 2, then I'd say Feature Trailer and Bonus Trailer respectively. Aren't all non-feature trailers promotional ads? | | | Hal | | | Last edited: by hal9g |

Aren't all non-feature trailers promotional ads? Yes. But are all promotional ads trailers? Personally I find a huge difference between a true trailer and a short ad telling me when something will be available on DVD & Blu-ray. | | | Get the CSVExport and Database Query plug-ins here. | Posted: | | | | Since the rules says Trailers and TV Spots I would include the short add of when a DVD & Blu-Ray is coming out... that sounds like it fits into TV Spots as well. | | | Pete |

| Posted: | | | | I interpret that different. I think of a trailer as something you see in a theater. Typically several minutes long with the MPAA warning at the front (in the US anyway). For TV spot, I think of a 15-30 second mini trailer shown on TV. I even have discs (Alien comes to mind) that list the trailers separately as theatrical trailers and TV spots. They're advertising the movie. What we're talking about here in the case of the Toy Story ads are advertising the DVD / Blu-ray release. I don't think of those as "trailers". But that's just me. I have no idea what Ken had in mind. And to be honest, it's really not all that important to me. But it would sure be nice if Ken could clarify! | | | Get the CSVExport and Database Query plug-ins here. Create fake parent profiles to organize your collection. |

But I'd put them in the same category as ads for video games, clubs, Disney vacations, etc. related to the main feature. It's just marketing rubbish. Like I said, I'm not trying to stir anything up here. Just present an opposing view. I'm more than happy to go with the majority opinion or hopefully an official opinion! Hopefully Ken will eventually step in to clarify. | | | Get the CSVExport and Database Query plug-ins here. Create fake parent profiles to organize your collection. |

Feature or Bonus Trailer. I'd say none. The rules says Quote: Bonus Trailers Theatrical Trailers or TV spots for the other films/shows. Do not include studio trailer montages. I know it's under Bonus Trailers, but I would assume this goes for Feature Trailers as well when they are part of a montage, and even though what you're describing is only two trailers in one, I would still call it a montage... | | | The future is here. | Posted: | | | | That is something different... that is for studio montages.... like when they show just a quick clip of several movies and at the end of it they say something like FOX DVD. Not for multiple full trailers or TV Spots. | | | Pete |

| Posted: | | | | OK... Here is one I am not 100% sure how to handle. I am about 95% sure how to handle it... but want to see if you all agree.
The Nightmare on Elm Street Collection: None of the movie discs contains trailers... but there is a bonus disc for all movies... The Nightmare Series Encyclopedia... This disc has the Theatrical trailers for all the movies in the set (and no other trailers).
So how would you handle it?
My thoughts is to leave it at just the Feature Trailers since the disc is an extras disc for all the movies in the set. Does this sound right to everyone? | | | Pete |
