Are iMacs lacking the eject button on their DVD-ROM? Yes. They need to be dragged to the Recycle Bin(!!) or using the eject button on the Apple Keyboard. Apparently Apples have been like that for years. I remember someone telling me about that little quirk around 10 years ago. |

| | Posted: | | | | I think it's for aesthetics as much as anything. Other than the DVD drive slot there are no other visible buttons or openings on the front, top or sides. You can just about see the slot on the side view -  As for user friendliness that's pretty much the thought that I had when I bought it a few years ago. I think I only had that thought because I was brought up with a PC and how they work. It's just as easy to push the Eject button on the Apple keyboard if you use it. The only reason I don't is because I had a keyboard already that I liked. Anyway I'll stop posting about that now as it's WAAAAY off topic  |
