yes probably you have reason but the idea to have another program.....is no suitable for me.... also because i think only with 2 minutes of programmation they can add a 4th choose as "custom profile" please ken.....can you reply? thanks very much

I would not want Ken to modify DVD Profiler in anyway to accommodate adding Console Games, CD Audio Discs, Laser Discs, VHS Tapes or any other media other than DVD, Blu-Ray and HD-DVD. Adding additional tabs and fields would just make the program too cluttered and unmanagable to me. If he found the time to create a seperate program for Games or CDs, that would be more welcomed.

Hear, Hear. And Goblins is correct, to spell it out precisely. Invelos, at this time, has ONe, count him, ONE program developer. To develop the additional programs a lot of us would like to see, he would need more programmers and that is HIS decision, so far the answer seems to be NO. I think the majority of us would prefer to not see Ken start splitting his work with other software.

tabs?? field?? no.....only 1 more cat.....called "custom media type" ... only this...


other software? other field....probably my english is not good...and i'm not able to be understand.....i would like only to have one field....."custom media type" it would be appreciate also for dvx or what you have at home....and it take 10 minutes of work... and if you don't want to lose also 10 minutes it can be made only with add the ability to rename media type....

This program is set up to catalogue MOVIES on a disc-format....adding games would be a completely different set of parameters.

Man, we are trying hard to be nice. it is simple, this is DVDPROFILER, NOT GameProfiler, NOT BookProfiler, NOT MusicProfiler or even BEERProfiler. DVDPROFILER...OK. That's the way it has been and the way it will continue, I have absolutely no doubt, despite the fact that we periodically get users like yourself who simply refuse to accept the expanations and the jokes offered. Many users have told you that we don't want a tab as you describe, we will take a separate Program but again this Program is for DVDs.

have you considered to set up a second database with DVD Profiler? When you open the File menu you'll find "Open Database" where you can create a second database on the same computer.

You could create it and add all your Wii games to it. Then you wouldn't need another field indicator because there would be just Wii games in this particular database.

What you paid for is a way to track DVD, HDDVD & Blu-Ray discs. This program is not designed to do video games. Nor should it be, IMHO.

What you seem to be missing this is one database... For one thing... Movies on discs. This program has only that purpose. and there is many of us that don't have a need or a want to expand past what it already tracks. To a lot of us there is a huge difference between movies and video games. So we prefer if Ken wants to do anything for video games we prefer him to do a whole separate program for it.

If all you want is a place to have the cover art and description from back of the case... you can do that now...

- Create a manual Profile
- add cover and overview and any other info you need to add... name and such
- put Wii, PS3, XboX or what have you in edition field

The edition can show up in the list so all you have to do is glance and see the games.

Then you can even do Tags for the video games so you can filter on the games alone.
