I believe the reference is "Individual" versus "Company" credits and has nothing at all to do with a group header.  These are individual people being credited.

But there is already an individual vs company clause at the top of the page, and no other category specifies "Individual" in bold.

So what?  It still doesn't mean that if there's a group header you can't include legitimate credits.

How do you know it doesn't mean that? Without any other guidance than "Individual Credits" we must assume that groups do not apply.

Do you understand the difference between an "individual" and a "group"?

The credits as listed in the original post are "individual" credits listed under a "group" rolename.

They are not a "group" credit like 'The Philadelphia Philharmonic' or 'The XYZ Company'.

To assume that the verbiage applies to group rolenames followed by individual credits is simply illogical.

Personally, I don't need any further guidance.

The same way we know that groups of cast, under a single group role name, are to be entered.

Needless to say, I agree with hal on this...and that should tell you something about how obvious this really is as we have been disagreeing a lot lately.

No shot.  You and I have been disagreeing, quite a bit lately, as to what is and isn't obvious.  So, when we both agree on the same thing being obvious, that says a lot.

Great you both agree, but for me an individual credit is something different than a group of individuals.

Here is the rule:  List individual credits only, not company name credits.

It seems fairly clear...list the credits for individuals (people), not for companies.  In other words...

Don't enter a credit that reads 'Special Visual Effects by ILM'.

Do enter credits that read 'Special Visual Effects by George Jones'.  Even if that credit takes the form of...

Special Visual Effects

John Smith
Sam Jones
Bill Sampson

...they still get entered.

Are you serious here?  It says company name credits, meaning no company names.

As to your definition of 'company', I think you need to look that word up as a company can be a single person.

OMB is for any number of different sources, not just books.  I've seen it used for "Based on a Concept by...", which is perfectly legitimate.

Not until the rules are changed to allow functional equivalents.

For now, I'll accept the direction given in the program itself, when I select OMB, which includes "Book, Poem, etc."

I am still a litle confused...
Help..

If the credits says:

Visual Effects By  xx company  (lets say, ILM)
Visual effects Supervior  xx name
Visual Effects Director    xx name

Then those persons shold NOT be entered under Art / Visual Effects ?

Think I am sinking in to the mud right now as I have entered all those into the Sin City profile I am working on....
We are all at the same age, only at different time...

Why wouldn't they get credit? They are individuals...not a Company.

ILM as an entity would not get a credit.

The Supervisor & Director can be credited.
