Maybe it would be better if it said something like:
"An invalid source was listed in the contribution notes. Please check the contribution rules for valid sources."
@lostmule,
because no one gets to see new profiles, I'm always wary about adding too much info at the start. What I do is add only the basic info to get the profiles started. Then add the detailed info like cast & crew when people can see it and vote on it. |

Maybe the wording should say that the box cover is an invalid source for cast and crew data -- because someone like lostmule who only used the box cover can well wonder what "third party database" the reviewers are talking about. I think this is a case where a generic denial reason doesn't fit well. Indeed!! this warning along with another were very confusing.. It led me to beleive that I had, in fact, to go through all those various web sites to confirm the legitimacy of what we were submitting (many sources with the same information)... ONE valid NO vote should be addressed, ignore them at your own peril, ignore them enough and people will begin to look closer and closer at your work, wondering what you have done THIS time.

If, say, Amazon shows a wrong director for a movie it does not make it better, let alone correct, if IMDB, AMG and several national libraries repeat the error as they source from Amazon. - Seriously though, on the yes/no think, I do read them all (off course when there are comments left - sheesh, when people take the time to write something, worth reading! Even if it is only 'ditto')..
- When I see 19 yes and 1 no .. I will look at the comment left by the 'no' and when I see that 19 people agree with my post and 1 does not, I will leave it there (after consideration off course) until I see that more say no.. Some consider themselves (actualy only one) as "gospel" and as the "standard" to follow... | | | | E |
