I'm mostly a R2 user, who would have liked it, when the suffixes (actually they are not suffixes but part of the name) would have offically stayed and completed when missing. And I have not suffered any problem with adding them. BTW I own DVDs from at least 4 localities in R2 and 5 localities in the rest of the world. But I can also live with crippling the company name by removing a so called suffix.

I really don't see how this is that hard to understand.  Universal Pictures is a film studio.  Whether it is placed in the Studio field or the MP field, it is still a film studio.  Universal Pictures (UK), on the other hand, will never be confused with the film studio because it has the (UK) added to it.  The fact that it may have a UK locality does not change that in one bit.

Funny how you overlooked what I actually said in an effort to discredit my opinion.  As I said, I know many users who do not like this change...none of them R1 users.  But, as I noted in my other post, since they don't agree with you, and your hundred friends, it seems their opinion doesn't matter. 

As to the problems the locality suffixes caused for many years what, other than your desire to have a common name for all your studios, were those problems?

Edit:  I see that 2 of the users I was refering to have spoken up for themselves.
