I'd be willing to fix them, plus the others I've just found that don't work either. Best way to edit the awards is, if you use the Award Editor in my Cinematic Collection Viewer program. From there you can then save them again as XML files.

| Posted: | | | | Well, the problem is, there is no undisputed correct title for some movies. Strangelove is a good example. Of course you could demand that any award file editor only uses the IMDB titles. That way at least all awards would either work or not, depending on your local original title and it would be easy to change them locally. | | | - Jan |

| Posted: | | | | I agree with hydr0x, except IMDB isnt accepted, the solution I use is first find the correct original title for the dvd in question. Save the award files as text on your harddrive then you can easily use the search feature from windows, change the name and TomGaines will then accept the new data even if it is in text form. |

Of course IMDB is accepted. We're not talking about adding IMDB data to the main database here. We're talking about using IMDB to find a common title for an user build unofficial award database that's used by an user build unofficial plug-in. There's no reason not to use IMDB. | | | - Jan |

I am finished with an HTML window like Info-Window. But here is, where I'll need some support. [...] So is anybody interested to help out? Seems there is not much interest in having the ability to enter additional infos for a profile. This is how the layout of the additional info window would look like, if nobody is giving me a better HTML proposal Also the priority on working on the ability to enter such infos in DVD Profiler depends highly on the general interest in this extension.

There is a "The Diving Bell and the Butterfly" in the awards data, but I see, that its original title is "Le Scaphandre et le papillon". This would be the reason it isn't showing up, as you probably have entered the original title in your profile and that title is used for the award search. I will change the title in the award files for the next update.

| Posted: | | | | I'm having awards given to one movie show up for another movie as well...
These are the two profiles:
DVD Title: Wallander: Firewall Original Title: Firewall Prod. Year: 2008 UPC: 7-391772-323569
DVD Title: Firewall Original Title: <blank> Prod. Year: 2005 UPC: 012569-842779
They both show an award given to the 2005 movie.
I know I can just alter or remove the original title of the 2008 movie to prevent this from happening, but since I was under the impression that the plugin uses a combination of title and production year I'm surprised to see this happening in the first place.
Anyway, it's no big deal but thought I'd mention it. And while I'm at it, I might as well thank you for this great plugin and for putting in all the hard work I'm sure it took to make it.

The plugin uses a combination of original title (title is only used if original title is blank) and production year. So in this case, we have a movie with the search title Firewall from 2005 and a movie with title Firewall from 2008. And a award from 2007. This means, both movies fall under the checked award year range. [2004;2007] for the first movie, and [2007;2010] for the second movie.
