You edited several posts, but not those :

With all due respect, now you're being discommodious.

Knowing that you edited posts answering to those, you only leave comments that you probably consider exact, without any context, showing clearly your "impartiality".

I'm properly disgusted.

It is a logical fallacy to conclude that the moderators agree with all comments they choose not to remove.  After all, opposing views are stated all the time.  How can we possibly agree with them all?

So, just because something isn't removed doesn't mean the moderators consider them exact. It means they either haven't seen them, or don't consider them to be a severe enough violation to warrant an edit.

Now, enough comments on moderator action.  If you don't have anything on-topic to post, please choose another thread to post in.

I voted no on those submissions because they were incomplete, inaccurate and contained no verification method. Now, we have somewhat of a verification method but the inacurracies are still there (I'm sorry, Unicus, but I disagree when you write the submission is accurate: there is no clear description on how to activate the Easter Egg nor the exact results it will yield. In fact, in the submission the Easter Egg isn't included at all). As such, I believe my vote isn't a violation of the rules.

Just so we are clear, I don't know whether or not the submission is accurate or not.  I thought it was because your original post...

If another user who actually owns the discs wishes to add the info in the Easter Eggs and submit that, I'll gladly vote YES. Users who submit without having the discs get a NO vote from me.

...didn't say it was incorrect, but that you were voting 'no' because he didn't actually own the discs.  If the submission is incorrect then, obviously, a 'no' vote is appropriate...but that wasn't the impression you originaly gave.  That is why Skip's contribution garnered that much support.

I voted "no" on them because Ken's resolution was to describe the audio tracks in an Easter Egg entry.

No Easter Egg entry was submitted on any of these.

hmm, yes, I see what you mean and you're right. Usually when a submission is correct, even if it doesn't cite a source, I will vote yes and write something along the lines of "thanks, good job!" or "checks out with my copy of the disc", meaning I verified the data myself and as such accept the submission.

I thought that when I asked for a source, it implied that the data was incorrect but apparently, I should have spelled it out more clearly. To be honest when asking the question I thought the submitter would have honestly come forward that the info was gathered from what he read here and not directly from the disc. Perhaps I'm a bit oversceptical, but a sudden friend who steps forward with that exact disc, seems unlikely to me and a convenient way to evade my vote.

After the "checked it at my friend's house" statement, I also adapted my explanation on my vote and spelled it out more clearly: "inaccurate and incomplete submission. Please cite your source for this data and the equipment used."

But, you're absolutely right, I shouldn't expect others to understand the implication I meant when asking for a source.

I made a mistake by not reacting faster and in first instance retract my former submission, even if my Easter Egg text wasn't ready. I should have retracted and lateron created a completely new submission. I openly admit I made mistake there.
But in my honest opinion, this new submission is also incorrect and two wrong don't make a right I think. Someone should submit a complete and accurate submission and get this over with. For example, the Easter Egg I have prepared also contains data on what kind of Japanese audio track is included (codec and channels), because that info can be used then by users who wish to locally add the track. In that way, they'll have the data ready at hand. This is of course not a necessary part to get a good Easter Egg, but I think it's worth to add.

No worries Taro, I just wanted to make my position clear.  Based on the posts here, it looked like your only beef was the fact that Skip didn't own the disc.  I understand that you probably made that post in the heat of the moment, so weren't as clear as you wanted to be.  I have done that myself, so I know it happens.

If the contribution is incorrect, then you are correct, your 'no' vote is quite valid.

OK, now I am confused. I don't find it all odd that I would. The Matrix Trilogy was one of the biggest film series of the last decade. It is an ideal film series for Blu-Ray transfer, and further I live in one of the United Staes' largest metropolitan areas, geo graphically it's huge, population is no slouch either. As to the specific equipment that my friend had, that would seem to me be irrelevant, though it was a Samsung deck. I don't think it appropriate to attempt to describe beyond changing the master language Setting of the deck, the reason being I don't expect that there is a universal approach or standard to do this, each manufacturer, inded each and every deck may do this a little bit differently. I went to this friends house with two purposes, one to view the siyuation taro had taled about for myself and to do quick viewing of the transfer quality, which I might add was excellent, I'd give a 9 out 0f 10, but maybe his screen was a tad large, making imperfections highly noticeable. Nothing involving a possible set of Japanese credits evem crossed my mind, though unless someobneprovides info on this, I will check it next time I go to my friend's house, maybe next week. All I can do from where i am right now, is acknowledge that that it is possible that there weree two separate prints involved in the disc or perhaps just a different credit set, both would seem to me to be unlikely, but possible.

So I am confused as to exactly what it is you want to see, Taro. This is not the place either. PM me your recommendations as i suggested and i will look at them.

You can be as skeptical as you wish, and i resent the implication that goes along with that skepticism. As I said, sir, you know nothing about me or the circle of friends that I associate with.

As an aside, and I apologize for it being off topic, but I have to say that I like the new 'Mod' tag.  It makes the action easy to spot.  Nice job Ken.
