Now I'm NOT one to be suspicious    but can someone with the actual discs (it's on my Wishlist) double check the Collatoral 2-disc update (EAN 5-014437-866431) which Trinitron_FX68-8 has just submitted.

I confess it looks quite believable and it matches a couple of online sources but it's just that 1) he has been known to be wrong before    and 2) on of the Yes votes is by a user called SkipperO which may be a dig at a certain well known contributor (apologies to any real user with this name in advance!).

If it is right, let's hope Trinitron has turned over a new leaf in the face of having to pay to vote...

Looks correct to me. But then he seems to be more of a problem with switching Finnish profiles to English, rather than destroying English profiles.

Not strictly accurate. And that should be UK profiles, not just English.

Welsh and pedantic.

But I don't see many Welsh language DVDs, especially the sort Trinitron is likely to pick up.

Generally but I have had problems especially on R2 UK TV series where he's wanted things his own way... and unlike most users thinks his way should be in the main database!

Thanks for looking,
Justin

They're out there. You can't see them because he's changed them all to Finnish.

Well, I checked: The contribution is plain wrong. There are many subtiles listed on the cover that are actually not present on the disc (I checked it with DVDProfiler). Obviously "Trinitron" just used the cover infos without verifying them (and he even forgot to remove "Other").

The existing entries are correct, except the fact that you can replace "Other" with "Romanian" now that the new Profiler is out.

Cheers, I suspect the online sources trusted the cover too...

BTW I don't think you meant "I checked it with DVDProfiler" ...

Of course you're right. I meant: "I checked it with PowerDVD". Yesterday was a long day with many contributions...

Same person, except its Trinitron_FX68-8. with a dot, he does have an Unlimited Registration.

I have reported it to Ken, on my own behalf. He has changed some finnish profiles, locked them and voting 'no' on some of my corrections.

What he usually does is:
Localized Finnish profiles: Changes the Title, Overview and disc description to English.
On other fields hes actions seem to be more or less random, Studios seem to be popular on hes list of data to ruin.

IF he violates the rules, id suggest reporting to Ken, on forums or by a support ticket.

Agred.

I personally would not report him for the subtitles on Collateral because, to be honest, a lot of people could have made that mistake by reading the cover.

However if he starts deliberately changing profiles/voting no in a way that is obviously against the Rules I will be PMing him to give him a chance to withdraw/change vote and if I don't get a satisfactory response I will be reporting him to Ken.

I don't think he can do that much harm anymore, except when he buys multiple unlimited registrations.
We had a lot of rule ignoring contributers with profiler 2.x. All of them has been dealt with easily using the voting system. Trinitron has been an exception in that regard because he has been the only known case who did vote stuffing.

If you think following contribution of Planet of the Apes -boxset master profile is more correct than existing profile, please say something:
UPC 6-420614-616956 Locality: Finnish Title: Apinoiden planeetta

Only one vote has been given, "NO" with reason "SRP", which is pretty obviously violation of voting rules, since SRP in my contribution is absolutely correct. I just wonder, whether there is really something wrong with my contribution since, there are no YES-votes at all?

Oh, why this message is in this thread? Think about it...

I don't happen to have that boxset in my collection, so I can't vote.
But a single "no" vote on some detail doesn't (at least always) stop the contribution.
At least my contribution in "Two Weeks Notice" was approved. My contribution notes were:
"Finnish title, production country added. Case type, studios, video format corrected. Overview changed to finnish. Even disc information wrong in original contribution. Cast info corrected, duplicate and totally wrong info." The original contribution was by guess who.
I got a single "no" vote (reason "case type, original case type is SNAPPER!" - well don't know for SURE, but mine is a keepcase, the movie is fairly recent, very likely more recent that the time that snappers were used in Finland, and I  don't remember seeing one in snapper).
Anyway, the contribution was accepted in spite of only one vote, and even that was negative.

Tipi:

Did you talk to the user who voted No, perhaps he was right, in which case the data needs to be corrected. If you provide some information like uPC and Title, I will try to research it and see what I can find out.

Well, that person who voted "no", was the subject of this discussion.
Somehow I would not trust what he says, and for PMing him - at least before he has not been known for the most civilized co-operative discussion skills...
