| Posted: | | | | So I'm auditing The Relic on Blu right now and see a whole new credit, "sound design editors". There's 2 names (Randy Kelley and Tony Lamberti) who I havew have 6 and 9 profiles with already under the credit.
Does this get any credit, and if so, what? How are the dvds of this film in the database? |

This answer is oh so simple. Do you see Sound Design Editor listed in either the Rules Crew table or the Program....NO? Then they don't get listed. | | | ASSUME NOTHING!!!!!! CBE, MBE, MoA and proud of it. Outta here

Schaumi would be the best one to ask on this forum. | | | Are you local? This is a local shop the strangers you would bring would not understand us, our customs, our local ways. |

| Posted: | | | | On what basis, Tracer. It is not listed in the Rules Table nor in the Program. Now should it be...perhaps but THAT is a different discussion from what IS. It si not allowed per the current Rules.

I would say they should be added as Sound Designer. Schaumi would be the best one to ask on this forum. I think I have to agree with Skip here. It is not in the table, therefore not allowed (online). Where does it stop, Sound Effects editor, ADR Editor. And Schaumi (nothing personal) , is not the authoritative voice on the rules. Charlie | | | Last edited: by CharlieM |

| Posted: | | | | I have to agree... if it is not in the crew chart in the rules then it shouldn't be added. | | | Pete |

| Posted: | | | | We have "Sound Design" in the table which is Sound Designer a Sound Designer is a editor they are mixing and manipulating sound. All they have done in the film credit is tack on the word editor to the credit. It's not like I'm saying the ADR Editor is the Sound Designer. | | | Are you local? | Posted: | | | | I understand that, Tracer, but factually the credit is not listed and cannot be interpolated, like I said should it be...probably but that is a different discussion.

| Posted: | | | | Well I better remove all the directors that use Film By credit instead of Directed By. | | | Are you local? This is a local shop the strangers you would bring would not understand us, our customs, our local ways. |

having filmed by instead of Directed by is something I personally never seen... even if I did I wouldn't added it. | | | Pete |

The other argument is this, Are they a "Sound Designer" ( Sound Design Editor) or are they a "Sound Editor" ( Sound Design Editor) Without them in the rules, then I say do not include them. Charlie |

| Posted: | | | | I have never seen a film in all my years that doesn't have a Director and a credit for such. I guess I should say in the film opening and/or end credits. | | | Marty - Registered July 10, 2004, User since 2002. |

| Posted: | | | | So have I, so if we don't want to include directors who don't use directed by credit in some of their films I can see about removing them. | | | Are you local? This is a local shop the strangers you would bring would not understand us, our customs, our local ways. |
