| | Posted: | | | | Some of the newer DVD discs and Probably most Blu-Rays discs have [SDH] Subtitling for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing instead of the [CC] Closed Caption either on the discs itself and printed on the back cover. I suggest that you add [SDH] in the features section to your next version. [SDH] and [CC] options would be fantastic. |

I think we may also need German SDH. I'm not aware of other subtitles using SDH. If this is available in a lot of languages, a better idea may be a field split, like we have with the audio tracks. The second field would have 3 options: blank, SDH, CC

A bit OT, but I was under the impression that CC is part of the TV signal and is decoded by the TV set, so the limitation is in the TV, not in the player. Is that not correct? | | | My freeware tools for DVD Profiler users.

I could be wrong here, but I don't think DVD players (PAL format) sold in Europe/Australia can even decode a CC signal from a disc since it's purely an NTSC signal. | | | | Corey |
