| Posted: | | | | Can't figure out how to solve this. The box set for the Gamera Collection (702727049125) US locality profile has the child profiles attached for the Canadian locality child discs. There exists in the database the US locality child disc profiles too. The problem is the Canadian and US discs both use the same UPC. When I download the proper US child profiles and attempt to contribute it, it won't allow the contribution as the contribution notes page doesn't show any change made since it clearly is just seeing that the UPCs of the childs match the existing parent profile's child contents without realizing there is a locality difference. Since the US locality childs are clearly the correct ones to associate with a US parent, is there any way around this? I have tried making an additional profile change (adding the media company) to see if that will allow the child profile changes to ride along with the contribution, so to speak, but it still doesn't recognize any changes made there. Is this a flaw that needs to be corrected in the program? |

| Posted: | | | | There are no disc IDs in the parent profile, so that doesn't solve it. Quoting Giga Wizard: Quote: did you try to remove the disc-id's from the parrent profile from the disc info and add the the US child disc-id's to the dvdbox content of the parrent profile? |

That is why when you try to update the sumission it's saying there are no changes. You will have to add not only the Disc ID's but assign them to the BOX SET Section as well. So that they can be associated with the parent profile in future. Steve |

Steve I have already added the correct box set profiles in the BOX SET section, but left the disc IDs blank as my DVD drive isn't working right to add them. There are plenty of parent profiles that have box set contents only without any entries in the disc ID section, yet they are fine, so I don't think that would solve it anyway. |

| Posted: | | | | Giga Wizard, I can't get it to take for some reason with the process you described. When I remove the Canadian child profiles and keep the US ones, it tells me there is nothing to contribute on the contribution notes page. Would you mind please doing that contribution for me so we can get that title corrected? Thanks so much! |

| Posted: | | | | Ok, I have contributed the removal of the Canadian children as phase 1 of the 2 step process to correct this, as suggested by Giga. Hopefully, the contribution note explains this adequately so people will vote yes. |

don't worry about disc-id's, you don't need them, UPC's work allso follow these steps (if not done so allready) download by title from region 1 USA the 3 profiles you need for Gamera Collection 702727049125. 1) Gamera: Guardian of the Universe (Gamera daikaijû kuchu kessen) Gamera: Attack of Legion (Gamera 2: Region shurai) Gamera: Revenge of Iris (Gamera 3: Iris kakusei) 2) edit the profile Gamera Collection 702727049125 (USA locality) remove the Canadian children form the DVD Box Set Contents with remove button add the USA children to DVD Box Set Contents left bottom of that window enter Gamera, you should see 6 profiles now. pick these (USA ones) Gamera: Guardian of the Universe (Gamera daikaijû kuchu kessen) Gamera: Attack of Legion (Gamera 2: Region shurai) Gamera: Revenge of Iris (Gamera 3: Iris kakusei) and not the Canadian ones Gamera: Guardian of the Universe Gamera: Attack of Legion Gamera: Revenge of Iris when the 3 USA children are in right column press ok now from DVD profiler menu: select Online select contribute select DVD Profile... that should be it
I Did not contribute that profile and canceld it, it is your contribution I tried this. No differences detected online. I only added the title in question to test the theory. I don't own it. It sounds like a definite bug to me. |
