FYI
As the XML export of DVD Profiler has changed, the import in the Viewer will not work (use the 2.x export file for now).
I am working on enhancing the import function. I had planned a new release in the near future with a nice new feature (skin support for Profiler 2.x skins), but this release will now have to wait until I have sorted out the import.

(also the Cast & Crew editor will not work anymore with the DVD Profiler 3.0)

Addition:
For history of the Viewer refer to this thread at intervocative

Version 1.4.0 released.

Profiler 3 XML import now supported.
Please make a backup copy of your database file before starting the Viewer just in case.

Profiler 2.x Skin support: Two skins are currently available for download in the data update area.

Skin "Documentation": Example skin which lists all available skin tags with default parameters and example
Skin "Deviant": Modified skin which incorporates a few of the Viewer-specific skin tags like Awards and Cast with headshots, Episodes and Events. Special thanks to Sundance from the phpMyProfiler forum for the original skin.

I have forgotten to enable skin support for this release :D
The reason is, that it was already present for 1.3.8 but I had it disabled and you could it enable it via settings.ini.

I will rectify it with the next release. In the meantime, simply put the following in the [Main] section of the settings.ini
[Main]
EnableSkinSupport=1

I really loved the Cinematic Collection Viewer with DVDP 2.5, so I really was looking forward to this update. Thanks!

One note about the Awards-files: The movie "Good Night, and Good Luck" is written in at least some of the text files with dot (Good Night, and Good Luck.), which means that most of the nominations/wins won't be found. Just open the files with text-editor and remove the dot from those entries and import the files again.

If someone else notices cases like this, please let the rest of us know e.g. in this thread.

I always welcome changes to award files. Simply export the award and send the file to me.
My aim is, that the title, which is used in the awards files is the same, as the ones we use for Profiler according to the original title rule.

If you notice anything you can also edit the awards directly in the Viewer (Edit->Awards)

Version 1.4.1
Now that Profiler 3.0.2 seems to be officially released, as promised an update to the Viewer.

- XML export of Profiler 3.0.2 now supported
- localities up to 40 ("Austria") supported
- skin support now enabled

Reminder:
The Viewer has a Profiler 2.x export. That means you can convert Profiler 3 XML to Profiler 2 XML (for example to use it with phpMyProfiler or Doug's Companion until those tools have been updated)

I am trying to import into CCViewer an XML file created in DVDProfiler V3.0.1 and I keep getting the following message:

Invalid TV Series collection data Line 0.

Do you know what is happening?

If you want, I can email the file to you.

Mike

You are using the wrong import function. You have to use Import->DVD Profiler Collection File instead of Import->TV Series collection file.
I also recommend to use a XML file exported by DVD Profiler 3.0.2 (when using Viewer V1.4.1). One tag in the Profiler XML has moved since 3.0.1 and the import will fail because of it.

I am working on a plugin for Profiler 3 which will connect to a Viewer database to get data, which isn't available in Profiler.
First release will only be an award window. For this it won't be necessary to have CCViewer installed. Necessary function will be available via the plugin.
Further development will take awhile. Currently I am not doing much developing.

The Awardwindow in DVDP is great !!!
Not so good is the CCViewer requirement / Install  , because i did not want to install another Program on my Notebook  Think about this.

I agree with Pete.

The awards thing is just too good to do without.

Looks great, Tom!

So what will be necessary to use it...? Awards list following the previously established "standard" (as also used by Mithirandir's skin) or....
