| Posted: | | | | Looks like it’s gone. No longer in the Apple App Store.
Better not delete it to try and fix problems. |

| Posted: | | | | Unfortunately, I just deleted mine the other day to try a reinstall to fix my lost access issue to discover it's gone from the App Store. Ugh!
I still have it apparently working on a beat-up, old iPhone 7 that I recently decommissioned, so I suppose I can still sorta use that in a pinch for now. Hopefully, the App Store removal gets resolved... as I don't really want to have to migrate to different software... |

| Posted: | | | | Wow, that is sad news. Seems I was lucky, setting up my new phone just a few weeks earlier, it was still available. EDIT: If you purchased it before, you can go into your account on the App Store, select Purchases, then My Purchases and then search for it there. It is, as of right now, still available there as a legacy item. | | | Achim [諾亞信; Ya-Shin//Nuo], a German in Taiwan. Registered: May 29, 2000 (at InterVocative) | | | Last edited: by nuoyaxin |

| Posted: | | | | Nope. Tried that -- and just checked again-- and mine's not there under Purchased apps... As I mentioned before, I do have a(nother) beat-up, decommissioned, old phone that has it still working, so I might use it just at home maybe for scanning UPCs I guess... I'm also checking out My Movies in the meantime. The importing of DVDP's exported file has been very dodgy. Took many tries before it finally worked (for ~95% of my collection of over 2K titles)... and even then, the result is very wanting since it ignores almost all personal data, including changed Sort Titles -- and the handling of boxsets is a pain if you want to keep your old collection numbers. And doesn't seem to have nearly the flexibility for reassigning collection numbers like DVDP, which I separate into different formats... And the desktop software is excruciatingly slow... and heavy, requiring MS Sql Server (at least the PC version), despite being very spartan... Seems really only usable as a mobile app or for small collection... |

| Posted: | | | | I’ve just noticed this as well, as I was planning on buying a new iPad, and checking that my apps would all be ok. It’s still on the Google Play Store, but not the App Store for iOS. Is DVD Profiler dead? I know it hasn’t been updated for a few years, but as it works ok, that’s not too much of an issue. But if it can’t be reinstalled, what alternatives are there? I use my iPad app daily, and would be screwed without it. |

It's been a long time since I switched iPads, so I don't quite remember, but I know that the iCloud backup was a great help in restoring my installed apps. However, I'm not sure how it was done. I suspect that it wasn't a full backup of every app, but rather a list of installed apps and an automatic reinstall of them from the app store. If that's the case then I'm still screwed. But does anyone know for sure how that works? | | | My freeware tools for DVD Profiler users. Gunnar |

Your New Ipad will detact your old one and ask if you want to transfer its content. |

I tried to find profiler for my iPad mini just now, and indeed it was not there. I suspect that with the large number of upgrades that Apple makes, the apps need to be continually validated to remain available in the store. Even the latest versions of macOS do not install on the old mac laptops and minis that a friend of mine gave me when he closed down his business. So, I am of the mindset that maybe "DVD Profiler," as a set of services is generally not dead, thanks to the generosity of whomever manages Ken Cole's assets (hopefully and I pray that it is Ken himself), but it is pretty clear that further development has been shut down. | | | Thanks for your support. It would be possible to process profiler XML to compensate for some of those issues. Hopefully someday, I can work on it, or collaborate with somebody else to do it. | | | Thanks for your support. Your New Ipad will detact your old one and ask if you want to transfer its content. It can only restore the app during an iCloud restore if it’s on the App Store. I’ve run into this before with a music production app. In order for it to transfer to a new iPad, it has to be done via a full backup using a PC/Mac and iTunes. I hope it hasn’t been abandoned, or that the servers come down.. I rely on the app on a daily basis, and the idea of not having it on my iPad.. eek! I don’t know anything about the owners and developers, but I really hope they don’t abandon this. Aside from being an excellent app, it’s a great community. |

| Posted: | | | | Update to my previous post.. it’s BACK! If anyone else can check, it would be appreciated, in case it’s cached on my iPad or something weird, but as far as I can see, it is in the App Store again. | | | Last edited: by Metalollie |

| Posted: | | | | I did a check on my 13 pro: the app is there. Took a look at my girlfriends 11 pro, the app was there. Android users says it's gone. I fear that we are getting closer to the end |
